# Binaytara

> Binaytara is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, founded in 2007 by oncologist Dr. Binay Shah and Tara Shah. The organization works to reduce global cancer health disparities through oncology and hematology education, cancer care delivery, research, and advocacy.
Core Activities

Medical Education: Organizes over 60 ACPE/ABIM-accredited continuing medical education (CME) conferences annually across the United States. It also offers free CME through its gamified mobile learning platform, OncoBlast.
Cancer Care: Operates the Binaytara Health Clinic (also known as Binaytara Cancer Center) in Janakpur, Madhesh Province, Nepal, which has provided services to more than 1,700 patients. A 200-bed cancer hospital expansion is in the planning and approval stage. Binaytara also runs Project Naija, a partnership in Lagos, Nigeria, focused on improving local oncology capacity through training and infrastructure support.
Research and Publications: Funds implementation science research grants and publishes The Cancer News and the peer-reviewed International Journal of Cancer Care and Delivery (IJCCD).
Advocacy: Engages in health policy discussions and initiatives, including the Center for Women’s Cancer Access and Advocacy.
