Our Mission

The Cancer News is an independent publication by Binaytara providing evidence-based oncology news, research summaries, and educational content, authored by credentialed medical professionals and cancer health thought leaders.

How We Create Content

Our articles are written by oncologists, researchers, medical professionals, and thought leaders in the field of oncology and hematology. When an article is not written by The Cancer News Team, the author’s name, institution(s), and affiliation(s) are displayed. Select articles may be published under the byline The Cancer News Team; in this case, the piece has been written by an in-house writer with guidance or editorial oversight from medical and scientific professionals.

The Cancer News publishes articles in the following areas: Cancer Education (including Resources for Cancer Patients), Perspectives, Clinical Breakthroughs & Research, Health Policy, and Oncology Without Borders (global health). In most cases, our Editorial Team selects topics based on the most pressing issues in cancer care at the time of ideation/publication. We publish articles for a diverse audience, including cancer patients, oncologists, and global health stakeholders.

In our Perspectives series, independent medical faculty author articles on their area of investigational interest, often adapted from a prior peer-reviewed presentation given to fellow oncologists.

Sourcing Standards

We aim to be transparent with our sources and rigorous in our sourcing standards. We use and trust peer-reviewed studies, clinical trials, medical journals, and official guidelines from NCCN, ASCO, NCI, and WHO. We cite primary sources within our articles. For Question-and-Answer format articles, we incorporate directly solicited input from credentialed oncologists, hematologists, and medical professionals.

Medical/Expert Review

All articles are reviewed by The Cancer News editorial team and are assessed for accuracy, relevancy, and clarity. Not all articles are medically reviewed. The Cancer News articles are intended for educational and informational purposes only and do not constitute providing medical advice or professional services.

Perspectives articles are written by leading oncologists, patient advocates, or other medical professionals with extensive exposure to or expertise in their topic. Referenced studies and sources are cited within the article.

AI Content Disclosure
