About Binaytara

Binaytara is a global oncology non-profit organization dedicated to reducing disparities in cancer care through oncology education, implementation science research, and scholarly publishing. Binaytara provides continuing education to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses and organizes over 70 CME/CE-accredited oncology conferences across the United States; develops cancer programs in under-served communities; conducts implementation science research to improve cancer care delivery; leads advocacy to improve access to cancer care; and publishes educational content through platforms such as OncoBlast, the International Journal of Cancer Care and Delivery (IJCCD), and The Cancer News.

Position Overview

The Medical Director will provide educational and research leadership for Binaytara’s oncology education and implementation science research portfolio. This is a full-time in-person position based in Bellevue, WA, with travel to select conference sites across the country. The role combines oversight of CE-accredited conferences, authorship of IME grant proposals, compliance with accreditation standards, contributions to Binaytara’s publications, and participation in implementation science research projects focused on improving cancer care delivery.

This position is eligible for J-1 visa sponsorship and offers unique opportunities for professional growth in oncology education, implementation research, and scholarly publishing.

Key Responsibilities:

CME/CE & Educational Programs

  • Provide medical and scientific oversight for CME/CE-accredited conferences and activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ACCME, ACPE, and California Board of Nursing standards.
  • Lead content development and contribute to Binaytara’ educational platforms including OncoBlast, IJCCD, and The Cancer News.
  • Travel to select U.S. conferences to support faculty, oversee program delivery, and ensure compliance.

Grant Development & Funding

  • Lead preparation and submission of Independent Medical Education (IME) grant proposals to support educational and research activities, including gap analysis, proposal development, and outcome monitoring and reporting.
  • Collaborate with industry partners, foundations, and other stakeholders while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Implementation Science Research

  • Contribute to Binaytara’s implementation science research initiatives focused on health system strengthening and improving access to oncology care.
  • Collaborate with research teams on study design, protocol development, data analysis, and dissemination of results.
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national/international meetings.
  • Support training and mentorship in implementation science methods for junior investigators.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Doctorate degree (PhD, DrPH, MD, PharmD, or equivalent terminal degree) in a relevant discipline such as oncology, public health, health sciences, or related field.
  • Track record of successfully securing grants for medical education programs and/or research.
  • Experience with health science research or implementation science methodologies.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Record of peer-reviewed publications in oncology, medical education, and/or implementation science.
  • Strong understanding of CME/CE compliance requirements (ACCME, ACPE, nursing boards).
  • Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to work in-person in Bellevue, WA and travel to conferences as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $100,000 – $200,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
