Travel: 12 to 15 times per year- domestic/overnight/weekend
Salary: $110,000 to $125,000 (with generous bonus)

Position Overview

Binaytara is seeking a results-oriented, high-performing sales leader to join as Director of Industry Partnerships with a primary focus on driving sponsorship revenue growth.

This role is built for a leader who thrives on building pipelines, winning new business, and expanding strategic accounts. The Director will own a portfolio of industry partners and conferences, with clear revenue targets and accountability for performance.

You will report to the chief development officer and work alongside an existing Director and Coordinators, collaborating on team goals while owning your individual revenue number.

Travel Requirement: This role requires travel to conferences at least once a month, which includes weekends.

Location: This is an on-site role based in Bellevue, WA


Core Responsibilities


Revenue Ownership & Growth

  • Own and deliver on an annual sponsorship revenue target across a portfolio of oncology conferences
  • Build, manage, and aggressively grow a high-value sales pipeline
  • Drive new business acquisition while expanding revenue from existing partners
  • Consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales goals

Business Development

  • Identify, target, and secure new pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare sponsors
  • Proactively prospect through outreach, networking, industry events, and referrals
  • Develop tailored, high-impact sponsorship proposals that convert
  • Lead contract negotiations and close deals efficiently

Account Expansion & Retention

  • Grow existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and multi-event partnerships
  • Build multi-year sponsorship agreements to ensure predictable, recurring revenue
  • Position Binaytara as a preferred long-term partner

Strategic Partnership Building

  • Develop deep relationships with key decision-makers in pharma and biotech
  • Align sponsor goals with conference offerings to maximize value
  • Identify new partnership models and revenue streams

Team Collaboration

  • Partner with leadership to refine go-to-market strategy and pricing models
  • Collaborate with the existing Director and Coordinators to optimize outreach and execution
  • Share best practices and contribute to a high-performance, sales-driven culture

Performance Tracking & Accountability

  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM discipline
  • Report on revenue performance, conversion rates, and growth opportunities
  • Continuously optimize sales approach based on data and results

Qualifications

Required

  • 7–10+ years of quota-carrying sales or business development experience
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience selling into pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a sales pipeline independently

Highly Preferred

  • Existing relationships within pharma/biotech sponsorship or marketing teams
  • Experience selling conference sponsorships, medical education, or events
  • Familiarity with oncology or healthcare landscape
