Overview
The Binaytara Implementation Science Research Award supports investigators focused on improving how evidence-based cancer care is delivered in real-world settings. This award is aligned with the Summit on Cancer Health Disparities (SCHD) and prioritizes projects that address access, equity, and delivery gaps across diverse populations.
Award Amount: Up to $25,000 per project
Award Focus
Projects should address:
- Implementation of evidence-based cancer care
- Barriers to access, adoption, or sustainability
- Health disparities and equity-driven interventions
- Real-world cancer care delivery in clinical or community settings
Application Pathway
1. Abstract Submission (via SCHD)
Applicants must submit an abstract based on completed or ongoing research for presentation at the Summit on Cancer Health Disparities.

2. Research Proposal
First authors of accepted abstracts are invited to submit a separate implementation science research proposal.
- Only first authors of accepted abstracts are eligible to submit a proposal, and only early-career hematology/oncology faculty (3 years or less) or fellows are eligible for the research award funding.
- The proposal may be entirely different from the abstracted work.
- Limit one proposal per person.
3. Impact Pitch at SCHD
Finalists present their proposals live during the Impact Pitch session held as part of SCHD.

Eligibility
- First authors of accepted abstracts, AND
- Early-career faculty or Hematology/Oncology or related subspecialty fellows
Funding and Expectations
- Competitive research funding of up to $25,000 per project
- No institutional overhead or indirect costs
- Funds must be used solely for project-related expenses
- Acknowledgment of Binaytara support is required
- Awardees present progress or outcomes at a future SCHD meeting
