Amanda Lynn Shepherd-Littlejohn, MD

Biography

Amanda L. Shepherd-Littlejohn, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist and physician leader at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento. She serves as Chief of Gynecologic Oncology for both the Sutter Health Women’s Health Service Line and Cancer Service Line and leads the system-wide Gynecologic Oncology Program of Oncology Distinction. Dr. Shepherd-Littlejohn specializes in the comprehensive surgical and medical management of gynecologic cancers, with particular interests in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, surgical quality, multidisciplinary care, and clinical program development. She has held numerous leadership roles focused on advancing surgical quality and safety, physician collaboration, care standardization, and innovation across complex healthcare systems. Prior to joining Sutter Health, Dr. Shepherd-Littlejohn served as an Assistant Professor of Gynecologic Oncology at NYU Long Island School of Medicine, where she was actively involved in medical student and resident education and received the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award. She completed her fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of California, Davis, and earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Shepherd-Littlejohn is committed to developing multidisciplinary programs, mentoring physicians and trainees, and creating system-wide approaches that improve the quality, consistency, and accessibility of care for women with gynecologic cancer conditions.
