Biography
I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplant & Cell Therapy Program at OSHU Knight Cancer Institute with a focus on Allogeneic SCT and Cellular therapy in ALL and B cell malignancies. My Internal Medicine residency was at Brown University, followed by fellowship training in the Department of Hematology/Oncology at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Miami with a focus in hematological malignancies, Bone Marrow Transplantation and a research focus in understanding the immunological aspects of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation followed by an advanced fellowship in BMT and Cellular Therapy at City of Hope in 2022. I also have a master’s in public health from Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. I currently lead and contribute to institutional and industry-sponsored interventional trials, including CAR-T studies, investigating new conditioning regimens and GVHD prophylaxis, and analyses of T-cell recovery related to infection and vaccine immunity. I am also involved in expanding our solid tumor CAR-T/TIL program and conduct correlative studies of the tumor microenvironment. These efforts have provided experience in protocol development, correlative science integration, and execution of therapeutic clinical trials. My long-term goal is to become a translational leader in HSCT and cellular therapy, focusing on relapse mechanisms and immune reconstitution in B-cell malignancies treated with CAR-T therapy and allogeneic transplantation.
