Matthew Gumbleton, MD, PhD

Biography

Matt received his MD and PhD from Upstate Medical University where his thesis project focused on understanding natural killer cell self-tolerance under the mentorship of Bill Kerr. He completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of Utah and Medical Oncology fellowship training at Huntsman Cancer Institute. During this time he also worked as a post-doctoral fellow in Eric Snyder’s lab studying the response of invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma of the lung to targeted therapies. After completing postgraduate training he joined the faculty at Huntsman Cancer Institute specializing in thoracic oncology.
