Biography

Dr Michael Grunwald is Chief of the Leukemia Division and Director of the Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Program at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute, in Charlotte, NC. He is Professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. He received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in hematology and oncology.Dr Grunwald has clinical interests in acute and chronic leukemias, including myelodysplastic syndrome and myeloproliferative neoplasms, transplantation, and cellular therapy. He leads and participates in clinical trials involving leukemia and transplantation.
