Mina S Makary, MD

Biography

Mina S. Makary, MD, is an Associate Professor of Radiology and a board-certified interventional and diagnostic radiologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and The James Comprehensive Cancer Center. He specializes in interventional oncology, with a particular focus on minimally invasive, image-guided therapies for gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary malignancies. His clinical practice includes advanced catheter-directed and ablative therapies, including transarterial radioembolization (Y-90), transarterial chemoembolization, and percutaneous tumor ablation for primary and metastatic liver cancers. He is an internationally recognized physician-scientist who has authored more than 400 scholarly manuscripts and abstracts and serves as Director of Scholarly Activity and Research in the Department of Radiology. His work is centered on advancing cancer care through clinical innovation, collaborative research, and the development of novel locoregional therapies.
