Biography
Dr. Narendranath Epperla is an Associate Professor in the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies in the Department of Medicine at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, University of Utah. He serves as the Associate Chief of Clinical Research and Director of the Phase I Clinical Trials Program for Hematologic Malignancies. His clinical expertise focuses on the management of lymphoid malignancies, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, primary and secondary CNS lymphomas, and Waldenström macroglobulinemia. Dr. Epperla is highly active in translational and clinical research, with a particular emphasis on early-phase clinical trials evaluating novel therapeutic combinations for lymphoid malignancies, as well as the identification of blood-based biomarkers predictive of treatment response. He serves as the national principal investigator for multiple investigator-initiated and consortium-based studies and is an active member of the Alliance Lymphoma Committee and the National Clinical Trials Network. He is also a Multi-Principal Investigator within the Experimental Therapeutics Clinical Trials Network. Dr. Epperla is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, and the American Association for Cancer Research. He has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and serves on the editorial boards of several high-impact journals, including Journal of Hematology and Oncology, BMC Medicine, and Frontiers in Immunology.
