Biography
Dr. Fankuchen is an incoming Assistant Professor of Medicine and a Clinical Investigator at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Michigan and her medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, she completed a post-baccalaureate fellowship focused on HIV research in the Laboratory of Immunoregulation at the National Institutes of Health. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. While at NYU, she also earned a Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation with a focus on novel therapeutics. Her research focuses on targeted therapies for lung cancer and health technology-enabled symptom monitoring systems to keep patients safer while on treatment.
