Oscar Lahoud, MD

Biography

Dr. Oscar Lahoud is the Chief Medical Officer of NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn. He has also served as the Deputy Chief Clinical Officer for the NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center and Section Chief of Hematology for NYU-Brooklyn. Dr. Lahoud has been devoted to bringing world-class cancer care to underserved population in the NY Metro Region, by enhancing access to advanced cancer therapies such as clinical trials, bone marrow transplant and CAR-T cells. Before joining NYU Langone, Dr. Lahoud was Senior Medical Director for Strategic Partnerships at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he led the Opening Stem Cell Access to the Regionals (OSCAR) program, expanding outreach to transplant and cell therapy expertise and providing specialized local care for cancer patients across the NY Metropolitan region. Now at NYU Langone, Dr. Lahoud has been committed to the institution’s mission that every person with cancer should have the opportunity to access the expertise and cutting-edge novel therapies that it offers across its locations. Based on his interest in advancing the field of hematology while bridging the gap in access disparities, Dr. Lahoud has led and contributed to numerous clinical trials, having authored and co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts in prominent medical journals and presented his research at national and international conferences.
