Biography

Peng Wang, MD PhD, is an Assistant Professor and specializes in molecular genetics pathology and surgical pathology. His research interests include testing and identification biomarkers for personalized medicine. He has over 40 peer-reviewed publications. He received his bachelor of medicine degree from China Medical University in Shenyang, and a doctorate in cell and molecular biology from Catholic University of America. He completed his anatomic pathology/clinical pathology residence at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, and a selective surgical pathology fellowship at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut, and a molecular genetics pathology fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Before joining the University of Chicago, he was a molecular and surgical pathologist at the Molecular Characterization Laboratory, Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research.
