Poornima Ramadas, MD

Biography

Dr. Ramadas is currently an Associate Professor in Medicine in the Department of Hematology-oncology at LSU-Health Shreveport/Feist-Weiller Cancer Center. She completed her medical school in Kerala, India, and an Internal Medicine Residency and Hematology-Oncology Fellowship at the State University of New York at Syracuse, NY. She serves as the Program director of the hematology-oncology fellowship program and is the co-director of the adult sickle cell disease program. She is board-certified in Internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. Areas of interest include hematological malignancies and sickle cell disease.
