Biography
Robert Hsu, MD, specializes in thoracic oncology and head and neck oncology. His research interests center on lung cancer, along with cancer disparities across multiple solid tumor types. Specifically, his recent investigations involve the tumor microenvironment in lung and breast cancer, comprehensive genomic profiling and biomarkers in lung cancer, along with epidemiological research using cancer registry databases and cancer mutations among different ethnicities, particularly Hispanics and Asian Pacific Islanders. Dr. Hsu received the Best Research Award two years in a row at the USC Medical Oncology Fellows Research Symposium. He is a member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. He appreciates the diverse patient population and challenging medical cases at Keck Medicine of USC, where he also enjoys the camaraderie and collegiate exchange among medical oncologists and other staff.
