Biography

Steve Brown is a serial founder, technology leader, inventor, and filmmaker with more than three decades of experience building companies and products at the intersection of healthcare, AI, and human behavior. A pioneer in connected health, he founded Health Hero Network, created the Health Buddy platform, and led its progression from a successful Veterans Health Administration pilot to a national VA program and a major CMS demonstration. The resulting clinical evidence and policy work helped lay the foundation for reimbursed chronic care management and remote patient monitoring. Health Hero was acquired by Bosch. Brown later founded Catch.com, which Apple acquired, and served as Chief AI Officer for Peter Diamandis’s Abundance360, where he developed applied AI systems and led executive workshops. After being diagnosed with aggressive blood cancer, he used AI to identify a mutation-matched therapy and navigate the clinical, insurance, and financial barriers to receiving it. That work became CureWise, his AI platform for precision-oncology navigation. A Stanford physics graduate, Brown has also directed and produced documentary films released in theaters and shown at major festivals, Netflix, and Showtime.
