Aims and Scope

The International Journal of Cancer Care and Delivery (IJCCD) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal, published by Binaytara. IJCCD is an online-only journal dedicated to advancing cancer care, cancer control, and oncology delivery worldwide through the publication of high-quality scholarly work.

The journal serves as a platform for clinicians, researchers, educators, healthcare leaders, policymakers, and trainees to disseminate evidence that improves cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, palliative care, and healthcare delivery.

Journal Mission

IJCCD's mission is to improve cancer outcomes by disseminating evidence that advances clinical care, healthcare delivery, education, and health equity worldwide, with particular attention to resource-constrained and underserved settings.

The journal welcomes submissions in, but is not limited to, the following areas:

The journal welcomes submissions from all geographic regions and particularly encourages contributions from low-resource and historically underrepresented settings.

IJCCD does not publish animal studies or preclinical laboratory research.

Open Access & Fees

Open Access

IJCCD is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are freely available online immediately upon publication and are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) 4.0 license.

Fees

IJCCD does not charge authors any article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, publication fees, or other fees at any stage of the editorial or publication process.

The journal is supported by Binaytara and operates independently of commercial publishing interests.

Governance & Ownership

Ownership and Management

The International Journal of Cancer Care and Delivery (IJCCD) is owned and published by Binaytara, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing cancer care through education, research, and collaboration.

Binaytara provides administrative, technical, and financial support for the journal. However, Binaytara does not influence editorial decisions regarding the acceptance, rejection, correction, or retraction of manuscripts.

Information regarding the journal's ownership, management, editorial leadership, and contact information is publicly available on the journal website.

Editorial Leadership

IJCCD is led by an Editor-in-Chief who is responsible for the journal's editorial direction, scientific quality, and adherence to ethical publishing standards.

The Editor-in-Chief is supported by Editorial Board members with expertise across oncology, cancer care delivery, medical education, global oncology, health services research, and related disciplines.

Editorial appointments are based on academic qualifications, subject-matter expertise, scholarly contributions, and commitment to ethical publishing practices.

Editorial Independence & Conflicts

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of the journal owner, sponsors, advertisers, funders, and affiliated organizations.

The Editor-in-Chief has full and independent authority over all editorial decisions, including manuscript evaluation, peer review, acceptance, rejection, corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, and publication scheduling.

No commercial, financial, political, institutional, or organizational interests may influence editorial decisions.

Editorial Conflicts of Interest

Editors must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest related to manuscripts under consideration.

Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts when:

  1. They are an author or co-author of the submission;
  2. They have collaborated closely with an author within the recent past;
  3. They have a financial or personal relationship that could affect objectivity;
  4. Any other circumstance exists that could create the appearance of bias.

When an Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board member, or other editor submits a manuscript to IJCCD, an independent editor without a competing interest is assigned full responsibility for peer review oversight and editorial decision-making.

A submitting editor has no access to reviewer identities, reviewer reports, editorial discussions, or publication decisions beyond that available to any other author.

Peer Review Integrity

All manuscripts submitted to IJCCD are evaluated according to the same editorial and peer review standards regardless of the authors' institutional affiliations, geographic location, funding source, professional position, race, ethnicity, gender, nationality, or relationship with the journal.

Editorial Board members, Binaytara leadership, journal staff, and affiliated individuals receive no preferential treatment during manuscript evaluation or peer review.

Transparency Standards

IJCCD adheres to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).
