Chinmay Jani, MD

Dr. Chinmay T. Jani is Chief Fellow in Hematology and Oncology at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami. He specializes in thoracic oncology, pulmonary neuroendocrine tumors, and early-phase drug development. His research focuses on novel immunotherapy combinations, biomarkers such as TEM8 and microbiome-based predictors of response, and the design of investigator-initiated Phase I/II trials.

Dr. Jani has contributed to multicenter studies across lung cancer, prostate cancer, and liquid biopsy development, and his work has been presented at major international meetings including ASCO, AACR, WCLC, and NANETS. He serves as a sub-investigator on multiple first-in-human studies evaluating emerging immunotherapies, ADCs, bispecifics, and oncolytic viruses.

Beyond clinical research, Dr. Jani is deeply involved in academic programming and trainee education, having developed multiple institutional initiatives, journal club series, and statewide quality-improvement projects through FLASCO. His work has been featured in peer-reviewed journals, Oncology media outlets, and national research networks. He is committed to advancing precision oncology and developing novel therapeutics to improve outcomes for patients with cancer.
