BELLEVUE, WA – MAY 1, 2025 — The Binaytara Foundation, a nonprofit leader in advancing cancer education and reducing cancer health disparities since 2007, is pleased to announce that it has officially changed its name to Binaytara.
This name change better reflects the organization's nonprofit status while maintaining the name recognition we have built in the industry as a leader of premier CME oncology/hematology conferences in the United States and global oncology programs in Nepal and India.
Binaytara remains focused on improving access to high-quality cancer care through continuing medical education, advocacy, and global oncology cancer care programs, and research. The new name provides greater clarity, especially as the organization is not a traditional grantmaking foundation.
“We remain committed to improving cancer care and outcomes—particularly in underserved communities," said Dr. Binay Shah, co-founder and president of Binaytara. "We equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools they need to provide the best possible care.”
The organization’s legal structure, tax-exempt status, and core programming will remain the same. The name change is part of a broader effort to align the organization’s public identity with its work and values.
Binaytara is the largest nonprofit organizer of in-person hematology and oncology continuing education conferences in the United States, and it leads several impactful initiatives in global oncology.
